INTRODUCTION
The OceanGuard™ BWMS fully meet and complies with the IMO’s regulations.
The system is typed approved & certified by most major classification societies and are currently undergoing test & certification at DHI (Denmark-approved test centre by USCG) for full approval by the USCG for use in U.S. waters. It has already been accepted by the USCG as an Alternate Management Systems (AMS).
Adopting the Advance Electro-catalysis Oxidation Process (AEOP), OceanGuard™ BWMS is both cost effective & efficient in eliminating micro-organisms, microbes, bacteria, viruses dormant ovum as well as non-native marine species.

ADVANTAGES
The advantages of OceanGuard™ BWMS are immense.

  • Advance Electro-catalysis Process – Highly efficient and cost effective
  • No corrosion to Ships – Ballast water treated by OceanGuard™ BWMS causes no corrosion to hull.
  • Satisfy Requirements – Fully meet IMO regulation, California requirement and DNV Certified
  • Compact Design – Small footprint, easy installation and maintenance free.
  • High-Quality Spares – High-quality materials and spare parts with long lifespan are used for all the components.
  • Wide Scope of Application - OceanGuard™ BWMS is applicable in brackish, fresh and sea water.
  • Energy-saving – Low operating costs with energy consumption at only approximately 17kW for the treatment of 1000m³ of ballast water.
  • Explosion-proof - OceanGuard™ BWMS obtained Explosion-Proof Certificate, which can be fitted in the pump room of oil-tanker, liquid gas carrier, etc.
  • Single Treatment – The whole process only needs the inflow treatment (during ballasting) only.

THE CHALLENGE
However, installing a Ballast Water Treatment System on board vessels that require retrofitting poses an enormous challenge. Suitable location and sufficient available space must first be determined. Existing pipe & fitting as well as electrical modification needs to be considered. Additional & alteration works and other tasks that may require in order to fit the proposed ballast water treatment system onto the vessel must be address and viable solution(s) must be carefully worked out.

THE SOLUTION
With the above challenge in mind, vessel owners, shipyard operators, ship-management companies and/or anyone that requires retrofitting their vessel(s) with ballast water treatment system, will certainly be able to have peace of mind knowing that SINCO AUTOMATION (S) PTE LTD is able to address & work out viable and suitable retrofitting and installation solutions by providing:
  • On-board technical evaluation
  • 3-D location imaging
  • Provide system design consultation.
  • Advisory on suitable location and maximize limited available space.
  • Advisory on pipes & fittings modification works.
  • Advisory on electrical modification works.
  • Advisory on additional & alteration works.
  • Provide engineering services, system design detailed general arrangement drawings, piping & instrumentation diagrams, electrical drawings, ease of reference technical and operational manual.
  • Factory acceptance tests, installation & commissioning assistance as well as sea trial, if so required.
The above process can only take place upon request from you, vessel owners, shipyard operators, ship-management companies and/or anyone that requires retrofitting their vessel(s) with ballast water treatment system.
